About

cropped-bourne-banner.jpgWe are a friendly group of ladies who have one thing in common: our love of quilting, patchwork and textile arts. We all live in and around the delightful village of Emsworth in South-East Hampshire in the UK.

Bourne Quilters was formed in 1997 by four friends who believed there was a need for a quilting group in the area. Over the years the group has grown to full capacity, and we currently have more than 90 members.

We meet every month at Emsworth Community Centre. Our meetings are a mixture of sewing evenings, visiting speakers and workshops (see our diary of events).

Every two years in the summer, we hold a show of all the new work undertaken since the last show. The centre-piece is a double-bed quilt made by the members. This is raffled to raise funds for local charities.
